s?rie, notamment pour assurer le cachet de Peter Falk et des guest stars. NBC veut n?anmoins continuer l'aventure, mais
avec d'autres acteurs, moins 



gourmands. L'id?e grotesque de cr?er une s?rie sur la mythique femme de Columbo va donc bient?t germer dans les esprits
tordus des ronds de cuir de la 



cha?ne. Link et Levinson, ayant vendu les droits du personnage Columbo au Studio Universal, ne peuvent intervenir sur
cette d?cision vou?e ? l'?chec, et la 



s?rie verra bient?t le jour.



Le concept de la s?rie serait un peu l'inverse de Columbo. Monsieur Columbo serait le personnage que l'on ne voit
jamais, et c'est Madame Columbo qui 



m?nerait l'enqu?te, sauf que cette fois ci, cette fameuse madame a un pr?nom : Kate. G?nial non ?! Kate Columbo, serait
en fait journaliste, mais aurait des 



talents de fin limier qu'elle mettrait au profit des forces de l'ordre. D?tail int?rressant, elle serait divorc?e du
lieutenant et s'occuperait seule de leur

Link et Levinson ou encore Peter 



Falk, ne voulurent prendre part ? cette "aventure". L'actrice choisie pour le r?le f?t Kate Mulgrew et le

d'autres guest stars de qualit? en revanche, 



donn?rent la r?plique ? Kate Mulgrew. Citons par exemple Robert Culp, Donald Pleaseance, et Bob Dishy, d?j? acteurs dans
Columbo.



La carri?re de Kate Mulgrew ne s'arr?ta pas l? pour autant avec la fin de la s?rie en 1979. Elle devint en 1988
l'actrice principale d'une s?rie m?dicale 



am?ricaine, et in?dite en France : "HeartBeat". Elle f?t aussi quelques apparitions guest star dans
"Arabesque", et prend les commandes du "Star Trek 



Voyager", dans la s?rie du m?me nom en 1995.
